MINUTES OF MEETING HELD CHURCH HALL, DENHOLM ON
MONDAY, 15th MAY 2023 at 7.00pm
PRESENT: John Biggar (Chair), Scott Tait (Vice Chair), Doug Crew, Adam Massey, George Thom, Doreen Biggar (Treasurer)

E V CHARGING POINTS: The main reason for this meeting was to discuss proposals from Scottish Power regarding these. George and Adam reported on a meeting they had with Dale Ploughman and Gwen Crew from Denholm & District Community Council.
The two sites on Feuars Ground are The Fisherman’s Car Park and Corner of Green near small Car Park. The Green site provided this done in a way to allow villagers to still have parking space not seen as a problem. The Fisherman’s car Park Site seen as a way of tidying up the Area and perfect for utilising. One Council Member felt the site too much out of the way and would not be suitable.
There was also discussion on income from this proposal being that a Rental would be paid for a Ten Year Lease also a 2% revenue on usage. This 2% would be retained by Community Council. There was considerable debate on this, the general view being that it should be a 50/50 split.
On a Vote the agreement that we should agree both sites was carried with only one abstention.
AGM: John said that he had asked Adam to chair this meeting and this was agreed.
OTHER BUSINESS: Items that may come up at AGM were discussed but no problems envisaged.
